Archdeacon Emeritus Ray McInnes and his wife Glenys have had over forty years’ experience serving the Anglican Church in Parish Ministry. Ray and Glenys both retired from full time work last year. Ray was previously the Vicar at the Albert Park parish for 12 years during which time they successfully led four Christian pilgrimages and tours overseas.

They have a passion for travel and enjoy sharing new experiences and places with fellow travellers. Their daily reflections in this context become often a highlight of the journeys they lead. As always, their contribution to the journey is teamed with the marvellous support and planning of the Mission Travel Team

Ray and Glenys recently cruised the River Danube and look forward to revisiting with fellow travellers this beautiful part of the world and adding to it the famous Passion Play at Oberammergau staged only once every ten years.

Spanning the banks of the Danube, Budapest is one of Eastern Europe's liveliest cities. Whether you're seeing the sights, shopping for handcrafted embroidery or Herend porcelain, or basking in the coffee house culture over a rich cream cake in the renowned Gerbeaud Cafe, Budapest's unique energy is positively palatable. Heroes' Square is one of the many sights you will see on your GUIDED TOUR of the city. Be sure to take note of the city's eight bridges - many famous sights in and of themselves - which connect ancient Buda on the right bank with Pest on the left. You may even want to walk across Chain Bridge, built in 1849 and a symbol of Budapest. During your free time this afternoon, perhaps visit St. Stephen's Basilica, with marvellous views of the city from its viewing platform, or stroll along Vaci Utca, the main shopping street.
